When I was a child, when it was dark outside, they used to tell me the tale of the Prince Charming coming to save the princess.
A moment I’ll always remember, I met a coworker, God how many times I crossed her before in the hallways, but to whom I never paid attention. That day it was impossible to ignore her: in her eyes, a sparkling freedom and hope feeling made her shine.
She came close to me and said:
“I reported who made me invisible to feel like myself again”. It was in that day that I learnt an important lesson: in abuse stories there is no Prince Charming, you are the one who has to be strong to come out of the darkness and be free.
From that day, my aim was to help as many women as I could to come out from invisibility. This is why I created 6libera, to give hope back to who lives in darkness.
